Cool new features on the way!
We are upgrading our Community Space right now, this very minute :-)
We are currently migrating all of the posts, comments, mentions, images - everything from the old space into the new space.
We should have the whole Community back online for you on Wednesday, May 24.
Here is what the new space will look like:
The new community has a Direct Message feature! You can decide whether or not people will be allowed to message you, but if you do, then you can have your own private chat conversations right inside the community - which is a very handy way to share address information, for example, if you want to swap some herby goodness!
There's a more robust profile option too, so you can share more about yourself (or not! whichever you choose), and include some contact information if you want to.
It will be easier to share videos and other file formats, it's got a great search function, and there are more features for private study groups, too! All around i think we're going to really like it!
And not only that, the new community also has its own mobile app! Which means that now, when you're waiting in line somewhere and want something to scroll through, you can open up our herby community easily on your phone as an alternative to Facebook, if you like!
But, katja: i loved the old Community Space, why are we changing it?
Well, the software that we have been using to power our Community was bought out and will no longer be accessible, so we had to find a different platform. And i'm really starting to see it as a blessing in disguise because there's a lot of cool stuff we're upgrading into - i think you're really going to love it!
